Kino Arena, a part of the privately owned holding structure Alexandra Group established in 1995, is the largest cinema exhibitor in Bulgaria. Kino Arena is the first Bulgarian cinema operator to introduce the digital cinema format in 2006 making use of its capabilities for performing quality digital movies, alternative content and live satellite transmissions. RealD Inc. (NYSE: RLD), a leading global licensor of 3D technologies, and Kino Arena, Bulgaria’s largest cinema exhibitor, announced an agreement making RealD the exclusive 3D technology provider across the Kino Arena circuit. RealD 3D technology is initially expected to be installed across 44 Kino Arena screens, including all 7 screens of the flagship Kino Arena, which is expected to open at Bulgaria Mall on 17th of January 2013.

With the availability of “VIP” and “Premium” auditoriums and the introduction of the RealD 3D technology, Kino Arena has continued to strive for competitive diversification, further consolidating its position as the leading innovative cinema chain in Bulgaria.
